Ever wondered which country has the most certified ColdFusion Professionals? Or perhaps just how rare CF Pro's really are? Have been playing with the data for CF5 certifications that is displayed on the Macromedia site and dug up some interesting results.
The graph was built using data scraped from the Macromedia.com public certification listings (scraping courtesy of fellow blogger Andrew Muller). Having sucked the information into a database, I used a bit of CFCHART magic to whip up this PNG.
The chart shows specific stats on the graph with a mouse roll-over. However, this aspect of the image map only appears to work under IE.
When we're done, we'll be listing a mini-certification stats application, for all Certification types, on our Macromedia Training website for people to play with.

I'd like to know when MM is going to post the MX certified devs on the site. Have been told by MM the 15th of Oct, and it is now the 20th. How long does it take to put a simple drop down listing from a db?

Might well be awaiting the release of the new Macromedia site. Perhaps, they plan to unveil this at the Florida Devcon? I just hope all our efforts in building an agent to retrieve the data hasn't been wasted :)

We've put up a few more charts and the ability to list developers by country, as opposed to having to look up the developer by name. Have a look at:

Let me know what you think!
