OpenOffice 1.1beta -- Flash Exporter
OpenOffice.org has released the beta for its next upcoming version. Something that stands out from a host of features is the ability to export presentation files -- from Impress -- direct to Flash. The presentation shown here is something I whipped up for MXDU and is just a direct export from an Impress file.
Impress can import PowerPoint presentations, so this might offer a very cheap mechanism for converting PPT's to SWF. If you want the full SWF you can download it here: mxdu_fourq.swf

I would love to know how you did this. Especially if you think or know how it can be done with WMF to SWF.
I am new to OpenOffice but plan on integrating it into a web conversion tool I have written.
The problem I'm having is that I have a very short design cycle on this before I have to have the wmf to swf ready for a big client and so far can't make heads or tails out of the code.
I can tell you that at this point, my conversion engine is utilizing Cold Fusion, VB Script and ASP but if I have to, I'll struggle along with OOBasic until I get it right.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Open Office provides the SWF export facility as part of its standard set
of user controls. I'm not sure how accessible this might be
programmatically. And I haven't got the faintest idea where to start
looking.
If you are looking at document to Flash conversion you might consider
using Flash Paper. Flash Paper is effectively a special printer driver
like Adobe Acrobat Distiller. If you installed a copy of Contribute on
your server and could get CF to fire a local print job you may be able
to use that as a solution.
