Macromedia Certification

In true Daemon maniac fashion I did the Flash MX Developer & ColdFusion MX Developer (Advanced) certifications back to back today.

I had to upgrade my Macromedia Developer certifications so that I can maintain my status as a Certified Macromedia Instructor and to also be eligible to teach some new classes.

Both exams do a fair job of testing your knowledge and I would encourage anyone who's considering to go ahead and do it!!

Cool dude, that's what I call getting certified ... why not do them all on the same day while you're at it ;)How did you score?

Peter, FMX: 88%, CFMX 92%. I did the both back to back in about 80 minutes. Andrew

Any areas to concentrate on to study for CFMX? I've snagged the dev study guide, and am rereading the documentation.... I've never taken a cert test before....

Calvin, apart from being about the best reference to CFML around Ben Forta's Developer Study Guide has always been one of the best ways to prepare yourself for Certification. Do all the example questions at the end of chapters, they'll give you a good idea of how you're going. Also check out the sample exam that's on Ben's site, http://www.forta.com/books/examintro.cfm?isbn=0321180585, it'll give you a good idea of what the exam is like.

Calvin, also helpful might be CF BUSTER an exam simulation tool from Centrasoft, http://www.centrasoft.com
I once had a look on it (a while after my exam) and I guess it might be very helpful to prepare if you don't have any idea how the questions will look like.
