Yep this is an odd story. We've released an MP3 to commemorate the 1,000th download of FarCry CMS since going opensource. No I'm not kidding -- it's a real song, acoustics and all. Written and recorded by our very own Daniel Morphett of El Duende.
farcryMix1.mp3 (2,432Mb)
That's what comes of having muso's as developers. The other Daemonite talents are threatening to bring out rock (The Accidents) and techno (Cell7) remixes -- I'm kinda hoping JesterXL will "freestyle" a hip-hop version (forgive my obvious lack of rap lingo, braw :)
What MP3 release would be replete without the lyrics:
Farcry
Farcry It’s a farcry from the usual
Farcry It’s a farcry from the world you know
Like the rays from yonder stars
It’s so near and yet so far….
Farcry The word is spread from town to town
Farcry It’s the way we talk in distant tones
It will reach you where you are
It’s so near and yet so far

What's with the aussies and that particular acoustic style (Ben Lee, Colin Hay/Men at work) ? :) Good song, though. Keep up the good work - both musically and technically.
