RIA Example App - Server Image File Browser

I've been busy lately building a sample RIA for a Macromedia Australia sponsored competition, a Flash browser that allows you to view directories and their contents on the server. It's configured to display image files as they exist, generating jpg thumbnails on the fly from virtually any image extension if required to speed up preview load times with a lot of the application logic Java being consumed by ColdFusion.

The screenshot above show a png file being previewed via the browser, it's Jesse Warden and Branden Hall looking as though they're "bustin' some moves" taken here at Daemon during the time of MXDU 2003.

You can check out the application by clicking on this link, the page contains a more detailed explination of what went into the application as well.

Great work, will the sources become available after the competition?

I noticed you spend some more time back on the blog during the last days, where have you been for so long ;-)?

Hey Kai, Geoff's been keeping me busy training lately - plus I've had some blog inspiration...

We're already looking at working the image browser into a future version of FarCry. Andrew.
