All I want for Christmas is Flash for Palm

Macromedia has a great Supported Devices list for Flash Player. Interestingly Sony Clie is not listed -- Clie is the only Palm OS supported Flash Player implementation. So I decided to have another hunt for rumours of Flash on Palm. [JD via fullasagoog]

The absence of Sony Clie on the list is an oversight -- it was first demonstrated way back at DevCon2002. There is a great article on the Dev Centre by Phillip Torrone called Using Macromedia Flash with Sony Clie NX Series

Alas Google tells me that recent gossip on Flash Player for Palm is rarer than hen's teeth. Is all hope for my marvellous Tungsten lost??

I would love see Flash player with my old Palm Os powered PDA.. And when i say old i mean specs like gray-color screen, 2 to 8 MB's memoryunit and so on..

I would love being able to access Flash content in my Smartphone. My own page breaks when I access it using my phone's web browser, lol.
Gotta work on that one...

Yeah, I've been longing for Flash on my Handspring Treo. The lack of true sound support is an issue, but I think the processor could handle it. The new Palm OS5 has a better chance of getting a Flash player someday, since it has more multimedia features. Even if it only supported the Flash5 feature set, it would be better than nothing at all.

Thanks for the catch on the missing entry... Chris Pelsor noticed that too. Later today I'll be pointing other staffers to my blog entry on that subject, so if you see any other gotchas in that "supported devices" list then could I ask you to drop a note to that entry this weekend, to make sure they catch all current requests on Monday? Thanks!

Hmmm... This was over a year ago, but the Clie is STILL not listed...
