MXDU: Early Sighting of the Flex Logo
Not only did we get a great sneak peak of Flex at the keynote of MXDU day 2, many many thanks to Tim Buntel and Ben Elmore for the fantastic tag team event, but I'm now wondering if we didn't unknowingly get a very early look see at the Flex logo.
I just did a quick check of the Flex home page at Macromedia and see nothing there so...
Here is a photo that I took myself as Tim began his intro to Flex.

The other thing that we got at MXDU was, I believe for the first time ever, a timeline indicating roughly when Flex might be released.

Oh great, here we are trying to get enterprises not to think "glitzy animation tool" and someone at MM marketing come up with "FX" as the rune?
FX... Effects... as in "special effects" -- as in film, animation, bright lights, explosions...
MM, please reconsider.

I give the logo the thumbs up.
Seeing Tim Buntel's and Ben Elmore's presentations at MXDU2004, I think Flex will shout for itself.

I like the "fx" rune we saw at MXDU and the "effects" aspect of it hadn't crossed my mind until I read Aral's comment... I guess I'm just too much of a code-centric developer to even think of special effects.
MXDU certainly got me all buzzed up about Flex! I'd been toying with it beforehand but since that keynote I've created two semi-useful little applications and I'm (finally) learning ActionScript!

Not dissimilar to one of the guesses I had back in Novemeber:

As for the colour, I'm guessing it will be grey.
