Since the first sneak peek at the Central Birds of a Feather at MXDU in February there's been a bit of work been done on our first commercial Central application, Certifiable.
Currently available as a preview release, Certifiable uses a Central exam engine developed by Daemon that tests your knowledge of a variety of topics (http://certifiable.daemon.com.au).
Certifiable users choose and install curriculum that is then available for use within Central. Once installed it doesn't matter if the user is online or not as Certifiable only needs an active connection to keep the contents of the exams the user has chosen up to date.
Each exam is created uniquely from a ever growing pool of questions edited by Geoff Bowers and Andrew Muller the two most qualified Macromedia Certified Instructors in Australiasia.
The marking and review of exams past and present is done locally in Certifiable, future versions will have the ability to report results.
The content (curriculum & questions) is created and managed by a customised version of FarCry, Daemon's open source Content Management System for Macromedia ColdFusion MX (http://farcry.daemon.com.au/).
Certifiable features include:
- Unlimited number of curriculum
- Unlimited number of questions
- Exams contain specified number of questions drawn randomly from larger question pool
- Exams have specified duration with time out
- Ability to save & open incomplete exams
- Multiple question formats: boolean; multiple answer, single choice; multiple answer, multiple choice
- Only needs to be online to receive curriculum and questions
- Auto check for curriculum and question updates
- Marking of exams with review, reasoning provided for answers
- Review of previous exams
- Listing of resources for each curriculum
- Content (curriculum & questions) management via web based interface: customised version of FarCry open source CMS

This is possibly the best example of a "useful" Central application I have yet seen! And 'tis funny that the best of the rest are Daemon efforts at any rate.
My question is "who owns the questions?" are they from Ben Forta's tomes, Macromedia material or Daemon's own products?
Sincerely keen to finally get certified!

Peter, except where credited all questions were created inhouse by Daemon staff and edited by Geoff and myself.

Great job! I really like that I don't have to be online to use it. How often are you going to update curriculum and questions?
