FarCry Case Study on macromedia.com

The Curtin Business School case study has finally made its way to the Macromedia show case site. It's not particularly well categorised but at least its there. Great to see FarCry getting the recognition it deserves.

Link to the full FarCry implementation case study.

Curtin Business School is the largest of the five teaching divisions within WA based Curtin University of Technology and comprises of seven teaching schools; several business research centres and units; and client service and support areas. The leading Australian business school has a strong international emphasis with large numbers of international students, along with offshore education partners spanning South East Asia.

And of course one of my favourite quotes:

"The FarCry solution, created by Daemon, has provided what is perhaps one of the most comprehensive and technically advanced solutions using Macromedia ColdFusion MX around. FarCry provided Curtin Business School an opportunity to develop a robust, fully customised content management system to support a progressive and complex website. Most importantly, the open source availability represented exceptional value, with CMS solutions of similar calibre priced in the order of $100,000." Michael Wall, Project Leader Curtin Business School, Curtin University of Technology

It's worth noting that the Curtin dev team pretty much built the whole thing on their own with the exception of Daemon developer training and some mentoring. Curtin have really embraced the FarCry community and are perhaps the most regular contributor to the code base outside of the Daemon development team itself.
