Web Developer: the market is still tough
So you were a top Web Developer, once, many years ago, until the "correction". Now nobody cares and you are shunned in public, much as lepers were in the fifteenth century. Your modern-day equivalent of the chiming bell and vile burbling exclamations of "Unclean! Unclean!" is the obnoxious ringtone on your expensive mobile.

The Flash Paper Caper vs PDF
Working with PDF everyday I thought it might be interesting to see if I couldn't replace some of what I do with Flash Paper. Chatting to folks, not many feel that Flash Paper has anything on PDF -- but having run through a few real life scenarios I'm not so sure.

Flash Paper is lumber enabled
Checking Fullasagoog, looks like I beat the rush on folks out there for Contribute 2.0 -- good being in the Antipodes sometimes. Once installed, I sat there hunting around in Contribute for Flash Paper only to find its a separate app altogether. It's like Acrobat Distiller in that it sets itself up as a printer driver and captures just about anything you can print. I have to say I'm hooked.

The grass is always greener
Daemonite has had a face lift. Was excited to see how many people actually noticed so it appears we have the odd reader here and there. Full credit for the design goes to Ben Bishop, a relatively new Daemonite, who whipped up the design whilst recuperating from some dreaded lurgy. It's XHTML compliant, with CSS layout and looks spiffy in most browsers -- let us know if you are having trouble with the new look and feel.

FarCry 1.3 hits the streets: more CMS magic
FarCry CMS 1.3 has been released. More exciting innovations in this build -- the Event type, more rules and a raft of minor itches scratched. It's the last build on CFMX 6.0 -- you'll need RedSky for future builds as we leverage the improvements to CFCs. Oh, did I mention it's also the first beta build for *nix.

Breeze Live Launched
*sigh* It's like I've been holding my breath for such a long time... at long last I can scream from the roof tops "It's alive! Breeze Live is here".

Migrating CFMX Sandbox Settings
A slight ommission in the Archive/Deploy features of CFMX Enterprise is that "sandbox" security settings are not captured. This makes it annoying trying to transfer settings between different servers in a cluster. However, it appears you can copy the neo-security.xml (the only Sandbox configuration file) to another server and it just works.
