Quickening Your Pulse

Eclipse has never been a fast starter. If you are using Pulse to manage your Eclipse installation you may be annoyed by the Pulse Launcher always asking for your choice of profile -- it certainly makes the whole start-up process unnecessarily painful.

Starting with the Pulse Launcher

Rather than using the "Pulse Launcher" you can opt to launch the profile directly. Pulse creates a shortcut to each profile. All you need to do is locate the specific profile shortcut and launch that instead of the generic Pulse launcher.

Each Pulse Profile Has a Shortcut

On OSX the Profile shortcuts can be found under the Pulse directory in your Applications folder. When you use the shortcut you bypass the profile selection screen and go straight to loading up your Eclipse environment.
